I’m participating the Pirkanmaa Art Orienteering weekend this year. My art studio is open for public, and you can come and see some of my paintings and drawings I’ve done over the years. And of course discuss with me about my art!
The address: Old bicycle factory, Vehnämyllynkatu 6, Tampere.
We have open doors Sat-Sun 27-28th of April from 11 AM to 5 PM.
How to get there using public transportation:
From the Tampere centre:
take bus 17 (towards Juvelankatu) or 25 (towards Janka) to east.
Bus 17: step of in the bus stop Ristinarkuntie (4556) in front of Shell gas station, and walk via Ristinarkuntie towards south. Turn left to Vehnämyllynkatu.
Bus 25: step off at the end of the line (Stop Janka 4569) and continue along the way (not back where the bus came) to east along Alasniitynkatu. Walk past the Fleamarket and colourfully painted building, until you come to “Jankan Grilli” kiosk and a bigger crossroad. Cross the Ristinarkuntie street and continue to the Vehnämyllynkatu.
When you see a sign post with address “Vehnämyllynkatu 6” turn right and continue along the road that leads to the right towards the red-brick building (the bicycle factory where my studio is located).
From Hervanta / Kaukajärvi or Kangasala:
take a bus 6 (from Hermia) or 9 (from Kaukajärvi) towards the city centre. If you come from Kangasala, take bus 40 or 43 towards Tampere. Step off the bus at the bus stop Kivikirkko (4017). Continue to north towards Ristinarkuntie, walk along it to the downhill and over the railroad bridge. After the bridge, turn right towards Vehnämyllynkatu. When you see a sign post with address “Vehnämyllynkatu 6” turn right and continue along the road that leads to the right towards the red-brick building (the bicycle factory where my studio is located).
